Farm to Fork Picnic

The Farm to Fork Picnic, hosted by the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS), returns to Fearrington Village in Pittsboro on June 2, 2024 from 4-7 p.m.

This event celebrates our local food community and features many of the area’s best-known farmers and chefs paired together to create delicious bite-sized dishes highlighting the season’s bounty. The Picnic also features local food artisans and beverage producers live music and fun activities for children and the whole family. Bon Appétit magazine called it “the country’s best all-you-can-eat feast!”

The Farm to Fork Picnic is not just delicious; it is also a fundraiser for agriculture and food system training programs at the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS). CEFS’ Sustainable Agriculture Internship and Apprenticeship Programs inspire and equip a new generation of farmers and food system leaders to grow North Carolina’s local food system! 80% of former CEFS interns reported that they have worked in sustainable agriculture and/or food systems since completing the internship.

The Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) was established in 1994 and is a partnership of North Carolina State University North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
