Pressure Canner Testing

Pressure Canner Testing will be available at the Greene County Extension Office starting, Friday, June 1 through Thursday, August 30. Only dial gauge pressure canners can be tested yearly. Weighted gauges does not require testing for accuracy, but if the gauges is damaged, it must be replaced. Pressure canner lids will be tested for pressure loss, clogged steam vents, pressure regulators, safety valves and cracked or loose gaskets.
